"A well appointed golf course; laden with palm trees, hidden traps and precocious water hazards, as if created by the
golfing Gods themselves. On a glorious Fall morning a quarter-century after having parted ways, 24 friends meet there.
The closest most had been to a golf course "back in the day" was as they slid along the 13th fairway at Castlewood CC;
a large block of ice frozen to their respective asses, a cold bottle of Michelob firmly grasped in either (or both) hands..."

palm landscapesm.jpg (6989 bytes)The latest "added event" to Reunion Weekend. On the (Saturday) morning of the Reunion, 32 Class Members and Guests of the Amador Valley High School Class of 1978 will tee it up on the beautiful "Palm" course at historical Sunol Valley Golf Club. Old friends, acquaintances and their Guests will enjoy a wonderful Fall morning of fun, memories and hopefully some good golf, on one of the Valley's premiere, respected and longest standing courses.

Spread out over 300-plus acres, this 18-hole, 6830-yard championship course features strategically placed bunkers, hazards and water obstacles, multi-tiered greens and angled, sloping fairways that present challenging shot selections and require scratch golfers and weekend warriors alike to dip into every facet of their game.

18th green palmsm.jpg (9071 bytes)The Invitational was initially slated to be held at Canyon Lakes in San Ramon. But with the original 12 slots filling up so fast (and CL unable to give us more spaces), the equally breathtaking Sunol course was more than happy to accommodate the Tournament's expanding needs. However, the 32 tee slots (an additional 8 spots added 7/31) now available are ABSOLUTELY ALL we will have, so if you or your guest are interested in playing, it would be wise to contact Pat Inglesby (pjingles@dreyers.com) and reserve YOUR tee slot...TODAY!
