Since June of '78, I...

Graduated from University of Virginia in '82 (Degree in Finance).

Worked for real estate developer in Washington D.C. for 3 years.

Married Joan in July '83 (we met in college).  We toured Europe for 3 months in the summer of '85 before moving to Charlotte, NC and establishing roots and starting a family.

I have always been in the construction business and started my own company ten years ago. God has blessed us beyond what we could ask or imagine and it is our hope that we are worthy testaments to His grace.

Teacher Who Had The Most Impact On Me:
I don't remember thinking too much of any of the teachers. I had great respect for Don Anger and Ralph Laird, however. I do remember hating a saying that Ms. Herzog had on her desk at the time. It said, "Act enthusiastic, and you will be enthusiastic." That seemed so stupid at the time. It now seems to make sense to me. I guess I'm slow.

Most memorable incident(s) during high school...
Let's see...

I remember Lindy and Dennis together at the Oakland Coliseum for the TOC our freshmen year....

I remember going to a party at Kragen's (one of the few I attended) and finding the host passed out in the bushes in the front yard...

I remember never losing a basketball game to Granada (6-0)...

I remember some awesome debates in the journalism class taught by Dorothy Davis. As a matter of fact I believe I convinced Dennis Jones to vote for Prop. 13 during one of his weaker moments. He regretted that decision soon thereafter...

I remember wondering what a nice girl like Leslie Baker saw in Kevin Johnson (ha, ha). I'm still wondering KJ...

I remember laughing a Chris Scott and thinking what a talented person he was...

Favorite Quotation(s):
Romans 8:28

"for we know that God causes all things to work together for good, to those that love Him and are the called, according to His purposes."

Philippians Chapter 4 especially vs. 11-13
"Not that I speak from want; for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in each and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."
