cooking, day trips, gardening,

Likes
Quiet times (a rare treat).
People who do their own thinking
and stand on their own two feet.
Art (which I define as something
that evokes an emotion) in any
form. Learning. Doing. Laughing...
and sometimes crying.
Being with my children, and
teasing my teenagers. I believe
there are few creatures on this
earth that are more fun than a
group of good teenage boys.
My daughter: fun but...
the temperament!
Dislikes
Jerks.
Most Memorable Hangout(s)
The Quad
Favorite Quotation:
"To every worry under the sun,
There is a remedy or there is none...
If there is a remedy,
Hurry and find it...
If there is none,
Never mind it."
Most Frequently Used
Quote Today
"Be kind or be quiet."
(Any other parents of more than 1 child? Does this sound familiar?)
Favorite Teacher
Mrs. Patten.
She was a rare example of
a genuinely kind person, living
a good and honest life. She put
on airs for no one, and cared
about everyone.

Memorable Moments In High School
Just one? How 'bout a couple...
Day on the Green: Eagles, Steve Miller Band, Heart, Atlanta Rythym Section, Foreigner,
with Sue Callon, Michelle Roth, Janet Vicnair, Jennifer Storres, Erin Cruz, Jenny Bonham,
Sue Cushing...After the concert the windows to Callons van were bashed in and a few
things stolen.
Senior Ball with Rick Maynard: We parked in a parking lot near the Sheraton, and didnt
notice that it closed at midnight. When we came out it was locked in. Thanks
Vicki and Mark for the ride home!
Playing a part in actually winning a class competition: Spirit Week our Senior year!
(Our last chance.)
Highlights of the past twenty-five years...
Becoming a mother ... again, and again, and again...And recognizing
the miracle each time.
Slipping in a climb in the Tetons and dangling from a 3/4 inch rope on the face of a
granite mountain, with nothing but crisp mountain air between the souls of my shoes and
the tree tops about 80 feet below. I learned that as long as youre not dead,
you can keep going.
Along with that, sorting through the climbing gear at the famous Cowboy Bar in Jackson
Hole, and leaving...heaven only knows how many ticks on their floor.
